Visit Philly : Franklin Court & Print Shop

After our visit to The National Liberty Museum, we headed out to start visiting some of the historic sites. Our next stop took us to Franklin Court, where you can tour around for FREE.

At Franklin Court visitors can check out the United States Postal Service Museum, The Franklin Print Shop, and the Franklin Museum. Supposedly there's also an underground Franklin's privy, under the 54-foot high steel skeleton "Ghost Structure" designed by Robert Venturi but we couldn't figure out how to find it.

We did find The Franklin Print Shop and was able to join in a short tour to learn how they did print making in colonial times.

We learned how ink presses worked, what paper was made of back then, and how they printed and dried the latest news or announcements. There was a few more things to learn and see so if you visit this area make sure you check them out. Some are hidden! Let me know if you find Franklin's underground privy
