Sprinklers Safety - Wordless Wednesday

water sprinklers

It's been really hot lately so people have started opening water hydrants and turning them into sprinklers to help cool the kids down. While my son liked the idea and enjoyed some of the sprinklers, he made sure to keep at a safe distance. I don't blame him. The water pressure from some of those hydrants can be a bit powerful....and dangerous for little kids.

  1. We see this a lot in our city, but I always wonder how safe that is if city officials haven't opened them. Especially if it is taking water from faucets and other establishments. Our town opened all the pools up to those without power instead.

  8. I remember being a little kid in NYC and playing in the fire hydrants. That is against the law here! I didn't realize it was still allowed in the Big Apple :)
