Shen the Panda in Zylie the Bear Collection Review

Recently I received for review, Shen the Panda from the Zylie the Bear Collection. Shen is an 18” jointed plush bear that comes with clothes and accessories that includes an illustrated book and a passport. A fun thing about Shen's passport is that it can be stamped each time he visits a new country.

After taking Shen out his box, my son immediately wanted to play with him. I like that Shen is nicely soft and tall enough for my son to hug and play with.

My son liked Shen's book bag and "leather" jacket. Since Shen can be dressed and undressed, my son had fun trying out different outfit combinations. Meanwhile I LOVED Shen's passport, drum sticks and story book. I think this a great way to encourage children to learn about a different culture and develop a love of travel.

In the book Zylie and her little brother Theo go on an adventure in China where they meet Shen. I like that in each chapter Shen introduces Zylie and her brother Theo to different parts of Chinese culture. During one adventure they learn about the Terracotta Warriors, which are current on display here in NYC at the Discovery Times Square Museum.

If you're interested in learning about the Terracotta Warriors exhibit, check out this New York Times article http://nyti.ms/Iq3TZG

While your there you can purchase your very own Shen the Panda at the Discovery Time Square gift shop, as long as the Terracotta Warrior exhibit is there. You can also purchase Shen at specialty stores
