Memories of Simpler Blogging Days

This morning as I sat down and prepared to tackle blog posting, I started remembering the good ole blog days.

day dreaming

The days when blogging was less about products, brands and other external pulls. The days when blogging was about the simple and everyday things like where I ate, what movie I saw, what my random thoughts on anything was....

Pure and simple.

I miss those days. The ease of it, no pressure, no expectations, just blogging for blogging sake.

Do you remember when blogging was simple? What do you miss about that? What did you use to blog about in the beginning?

  1. I feel that way at times, but luckily I get breaks between blogging jobs and the photography challenges I host to really just write about what I want to write about. I'm learning that I need to actually carve time out to do that. It won't be enjoyable unless I make it enjoyable by stepping back and doing what I want to do. I don't want to lose sight of that. :)

  3. It's disappointing when a blog has become about brands, etc. why can't you just write about what you want to? Or start a new blog just for your thoughts?

@Yakini, LOL. Right! How can be get back to that!

@Cheltz, Starting a new blog is to much work. LOL Better to just adjust the old blog and start writing more personal and less brands/editorialize right? :)

  6. That's why I have 2 blogs. One for the brand stuff and one that is totally personal where I can bore people with what I ate and what I did.

  7. i agree two blogs are too much work, i usually do my "business" blogging a few days a week, and my "me" blogging the other few. i figure people can skim around on my blog to find what they want :)
