Like many families, my son and I enjoy some TV time. When I was younger I enjoyed watching TV and want my son to have the same enjoyment. If you're an adult like me who grew up in the 80's and 90's, I'm sure you remember watching Heathcliff, Carmen Sandiego or Archie's Weird Mysteries. Don't you wish you could share those memories and TV shows with your kids now?

Mill Creek Entertainment generously offered me a chance to review some of their DVD's. I was happy to receive 2 DVD's to review. I wanted to see the quality of the DVD's and if the show can capture a new generation of children. And yes I also wanted to see my favorite shows again :) The DVD's I reviewed are:

iKnow Letters, Animals & Sounds Children are taken on a journey around the world to learn about the animal kingdom through engaging sing-a-longs, stunning 3D animation and a captivating storyline. The animals in The Sunmoona Pride make learning the alphabet, basic reading skills and elementary science concepts come to life!

My Review I really liked that this DVD told a story with a combination of moving pictures with sound and live clips highlighting the animals. The DVD's were also very interactive. They encouraged my son to answer questions and be a part of the story. We both really liked this DVD.

Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century - On the Case After Sherlock Holmes is brought back from the dead, he is rejuvenated to that of a 25 year-old to help battle a crime wave wreaking havoc on this peaceful future. The personality of his loyal friend and companion, Dr. John Watson, is programmed into the brain of an android. They quickly lock wits once again with Professor James Moriarty, the only adversary Holmes ever considered an equal. Contains all 26 Episodes of this the Emmy® nominated, futuristic, super-sleuth mysteries!

My Review While my son is a bit young for this DVD, I know very soon he's going to be interested. What's not to love about adventure, mystery and Sherlock Holmes?! Add in the technology element and any young boy (and some girls) will love this series. The story line is well written and classic. I liked that the series encourages creative thinking and problem solving.
