Rooware : Eco-Friendly Kids Tableware Review

I love kids products that are functional and good for the earth. Rooware is an eco-friendly children’s tableware collection made from a bio-based plastic, that features characters designed exclusively for children. These unique characters, called the Earthsaverz, were created by Rooware to help raise the awareness of environmental concerns. How cool is that!

The product line was conceived in response to parental concern over exposing children to toxins from plastic and wanting character tableware not made from melamine, thus creating a healthy future for our children and a happier planet. The Rooware tableware collection includes character Plate, $19.95; Bowl, $14.95; Cup, $12.95 , Utensil set, $7.95.

Coming April 2012 tableware sets can be customized by choosing outfits and accessories for the characters in a fun dress up game.

My Review

While I did received the Kai Roobowl and a Rootensil set for review, it was my son who really tested it out. He really like seeing the character and made sure to finish he meal to uncover Kai at the bottom. While my son didn't need the handle on the bowl, it's still a great feature for young kids. It easily snaps on and off.

My son was able to use the Rootensil easily and I liked that they were longer and curved to give him a better grip.

Since Rooware is a plant based product, you do need to be careful how you wash it. Hand wash only in warm water and dry, No prolonged soaking, and Do NOT soak your tableware in hot water. Taking good care of your Rooware is also good for the environment since the products can be recycled and more Rooware products can be made without the use of any new corn
