Disney Store Unveils Magical New Store Design

Today the Disney Store revealed its new East Coast store design, featuring a more interactive and technology-driven shopping experience at the Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City, N.Y. The Garden City store unveil will be the first newly designed store to open on the East Coast.

The new store was designed from a child's perspective to be able to achieve the best 30 minutes of a child's day. The Roosevelt Field store opening will be the third store worldwide to open.

The new Disney Store design features The Disney Princess Castle with Magic Mirror – A child-sized princess castle anchors the Disney Princess neighborhood and inspires kids to make believe. As children walk under the iconic castle, they encounter a magic mirror and with the wave of a wand, they watch in delight as their favorite Disney Princess character appears.

Another special feature is the Disney Pixar CARS-branded Ridemakerz experience for boys that allows them to build their own car selecting each element from the car's body to the detail of the tires.

The newly designed stores will also feature The Disney Store Theatre as part of its marquee attractions. Guests can pick from a selection of pre-loaded content that will be updated regularly and can view classic and new Disney entertainment, sneak-peek previews, music videos and more. The theater will also serve for special in-store events such as reading time, scavenger hunts and more.
