Energizer Weather Preparedness Emergency Power Kit Giveaway CLOSED

Spring showers may bring beautiful flowers, but they also can lead to dangerous situations and power outages that we are not prepared for. That’s why Energizer, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) are working together to help families prepare for whatever weather situations spring, summer and hurricane seasons might bring their way.
Energizer

Recognizing a need for citizens across the nation to be prepared with back-up power supplies other than candles, as well as other necessities for use during power outages caused by severe weather, the Energizer Keep Safe. Keep Going public safety campaign was developed. Through this preparedness initiative, Energizer, the IAFC, the AMS and more than 6,200 fire departments nationwide work together to provide tips for building a complete emergency power kit and ways for families to stay powered and connected.

Energizer Emergency Power Kit

A simple way to prepare for inconvenient and unavoidable power outages is to have an emergency power kit ready before the blackout occurs. The recommended emergency power kit includes
  • A flashlight for each member of the family
  • A battery-powered radio for weather updates,
  • A battery-powered cell phone charger to stay connected to loved ones
  • Extra batteries, including those for critical devices such as insulin pumps, hearing aids and blood pressure monitors
Does your home need a sample emergency power kit? Then you should enter my giveaway! (1) Winner will each get (1) red bag back-up power kit: battery-operated radio, flashlight, cell phone charger and extra batteries.

I would keep it inside my linen closet on sight level, why the linen closet? because is right in the hallway, between my bedroom door and my baby's room, and even if we suffer a power outage in the middle of the night, I don't have to guess how to get there and even my husband would know where it is

I would keep this kit in the cabinet where I keep the radio and lantern we currently have for emergencies.
